By accessing or using LayerNomics at layernomics.com (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What LayerNomics provides

LayerNomics is a 3D printing filament price comparison and print-cost calculation service. We aggregate filament prices from UK retailers, provide reference information about filament materials, and offer tools to estimate the cost of a print. The Service is provided for informational purposes to help you make purchasing decisions.

Price accuracy and no warranty

Prices shown on LayerNomics are gathered from retailer websites and community submissions. They may be out of date, incomplete, or incorrect. Always confirm the current price, availability, and specification directly with the retailer before purchasing. We do not guarantee that any price, stock status, or product detail is accurate or current.

Material properties, print settings, and the print-cost calculator are provided as general guidance only. Actual results depend on your specific printer, filament, and settings. We are not responsible for failed prints, wasted material, or decisions made based on this information.

Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide a valid email address and must not impersonate anyone else. You may close your account at any time from your account settings.

Price submissions and content

You may submit filament prices and related information. By submitting content you confirm it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, publish, and display your submissions as part of the Service.

We review submissions before publishing and may edit, reject, or remove any submission at our discretion — for example if it is inaccurate, spam, or breaches these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false, misleading, or spam content
• Attempt to scrape, copy, or republish our database at scale without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or other users’ accounts
• Reverse engineer or misuse the Service

Retailer links

LayerNomics links to third-party retailer websites so you can buy filament. We are independent and our cheapest-first ranking is never paid for or influenced by retailers. We are not responsible for the content, products, prices, or practices of any third-party site, and your dealings with those retailers are solely between you and them.

Intellectual property

The LayerNomics name, logo, site design, original content, and the compiled price database are our intellectual property or that of our licensors. You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute substantial parts of the Service or database without our written permission.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Service, reliance on any price or information shown, or from purchases made through third-party retailers.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, or remove content, if you breach these terms or if we reasonably believe your use harms the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service develops. We will update the “last updated” date and, for significant changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
